Set static ip on your windows computer

  1. Click Start Menu > Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center. (For Windows 8 and higher, search for and open Control Panel and select Network and Internet).
  2. Click Change adapter settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Right-click on Local Area Connection and click on Properties.
  2. Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties.
  3. Select "Use the following IP address" and enter the IP address: 192.168.1.2, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway. and DNS server. Click OK and close the Local Area Connection properties window.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

connect and setup the modem

  1. Connect to the modem direct with a cable.
  2. Open a browser and enter the gateway's default address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
  3. The Network status page appears. The Authentication Required dialog box appears.
  4. Enter the username: admin and password: admin (by default) and click Sign In or OK to display the default landing page. It is the Device Info page.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. On the Left Menu, click on Network, WAN Settings.
  2. Remove any WAN Services. There is most likely a Bridge (Br0) or PPPoE Service present.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Add a new WAN interface, making sure to select VDSL from the drop-down menu. Select Connection Type PPPoE.
  2. Change VLAN ID (1-4094) to 35. Enter the PPPoE credentials, of ********@dialloginternet.ca and the password of ************** Scroll down to the bottom and click Save.
  3. Add a new WAN interface, making sure to select ADSL from the drop-down menu. Select Connection Type PPPoE.
  4. Keep all default settings. Enter the PPPoE credentials, of ********@dialloginternet.ca and the password of ************** Scroll down to the bottom and click Save.
  5. Power off the modem and connect the DSL line.
  6. Power the modem on and after 1 or 2 minutes, log back into the management interface to check for connectivity.
